Old, Interesting & Unusual Books plus a Viking's hoard of collectibles, old wares & household goods. In addition to our stock of thousands of books, we have old prints, paintings, photography, household goods, antiques, collectibles and much more.
Far from Australia's cities and regional towns, we are rurally based in the lovely pastoral district of Western Victoria. Penshurst is a small township of around 500 people based at the foothills of an old dormant volcano, Mt. Rouse. The tourist potential of Penshurst is enhanced by the now open "Volcanoes Discovery Centre" - an innovative multi-media experience for all the family.

The Town
Things to Do
Penshurst is half way between Warrnambool and Hamilton, and sits at the base of the extinct volcano Mt Rouse. It was one of the first towns settled in the western plains, and still has many historic buildings. It is a small town, and can easily be walked around in a day. If you are interested in Volcanoes, then Penshurst is the place to visit, as it is the home of the recently opened Kanawinka Global Geopark Volcano Discovery Centre. It is a very relaxing town to stay in, and would be a great base for day trips to oter towns on the Book Trail, as it is fairly central.
